If you have never taken part in Forum Wars before, then running all of the benchmarks and submitting your scores in the correct manner may seem like a daunting task. While it will take some time (as benchmarking always does), once you have done it a couple of times it should be very straightforward. The preliminary phase of the competition gives you chance to do just that, so you will be confident going into the competitive phase. The following guides will hopefully provide you with enough information to complete your benchmarks and submit the results without too much hassle. As we are using hwbot for some benchmarks this year to aid validation, even those who have taken part before should find this useful.
